black_wing
how do you make a logic high(1) on a 74LM86 (XOR) ic so that it can turn-on a simple led using a 5v input on inputs pin 1 and pin 2 and the output is on pin 3? how do you connect the 5v supply on the two inputs? is the +5v connected to the input pins? where will you connect it? and also where will you connect the ground for the 5v input?the only thing that i'm sure of is where to connect the power for the ic (on ground on pin 7 and +Vcc on pin 14) but i don't know how to put the input source.can you help me out?thank you.... steven
read my posting on logic ic tester, somewhere in the forums it has 2 leds that alternate to indicate the logic ic to be working ok, this may help you with anything you seek
MP
I do not have a data sheet on the chip you are using, but if it has XOR gates in it, this is the truth table.MP
