Guest Kasamiko
I want to build this Potable PIC programmer but have question regarding the power supply section. The design of the power supply section based on LP2951 adjustable low dropout regulator seems overkill to me,since this chip (LP2951) is not available in my place, can I simply replace it with are more common 7805 regulator without affecting its performance?rhonn ;) ;)
MP
You would not have the shut down/current limiting feature, but yes, most development boards for micros are built around one of the 7805 regulator chips. It will work fine for regulation.MP
Guest Kasamiko
Since I dont need that extra feature this IC can offer I 'll go with 7805 instead... ;DThanks MPrhonn ;) ;)
