Roby_m Posted April 14, 2005 Report Posted April 14, 2005 Hi ,I found this amp and a decided to make one. http://www.electronics-lab.com/projects/audio/014/index.htmlBut I was wondering...I saw there are used some diffent values caps. On the PCB and the schematics on this site there are 4 10uF caps, and 4 100uF caps, but there aren't used this values ( saw in the photo of finished amp).If you are kind to help me with some more info about these.... audioguru Posted April 14, 2005 Report Posted April 14, 2005 Hi Roby,I think the parts list is for two separate amps but the pcb has them and their supply filters combined.Did you find the Sanyo STK 465 hybrid amp modules anywhere? On a Google search I found a Telefunken stereo repairman saying that they are rare since they were made only in 1981. Quote
Roby_m Posted April 15, 2005 Author Report Posted April 15, 2005 Hi,I found one very easy. I don't expect to be authentic, but many guys made it and they are glad by its sound. Now, I do not know what to do, should I follow the PCB on the site with it's components or should I follow the original schematics?PS. I made the PCB, and that's why I am in a dilemma. Please help. Thanks! Quote
audioguru Posted April 15, 2005 Report Posted April 15, 2005 Hi Roby,Build it as shown on the pcb layout and it might work OK. Notice that the outputs have many turns of wire wrapped around a 10 ohm resistor. For "the price of catering" or something! ;D Quote
Roby_m Posted November 29, 2006 Author Report Posted November 29, 2006 Hi again... after some time :)I didn't finish the amp then; now i decided to get it done. When I was looking for GND ( 0V )..it hit me; should I connect the signal - and the output - with the 0V ? I'am afraid for oscilations... But in the PCB they are common...very odd. Don't know what to do.I'm a begginer, so I need your help, please. Thanks :) Quote
audioguru Posted November 29, 2006 Report Posted November 29, 2006 Hi Roby,The pcb has connection terminals near the inputs for the input grounds.I don't see connection terminals for the power supply ground nor do I see terminals for the speaker grounds.I think a very heavy wire should connect the power supply ground to the pcb then the speakers should have their ground wires connected to the power supply's ground.I have never seen an amplifier pcb with the output zobel networks connected to the input grounds like this. It seems to guarantee oscillation. Quote
