ante
Hi Edu,Well, a switcher is much more complicated than any”normal” transformer welder. You might consider a standard transformer circuit maybe? I think I got a link somewhere if it would help you. Are you going to try to build a welder or is it just curiosity? ;D

edu38
Thanks again Ante:i looking to build a welder in little series , for home uses lightweight, the transformer method is heavy to carry.....I see a few european commercial products but in my country (argentina) are very very expensive.....Thanks in advance for any help......Edua
ante
Hi Edua,The light-weight welders are as you pointed out earlier much more complicated. They are also sensitive in construction, easy to get something wrong in layout and control. The common light-weight “stick” welders are quite expensive compared to transformer type here too. The prize ratio is about 6 : 1, this is due to the complex technique and some of the delicate expensive components.
