A 1uF capacitor is very common and should be available just about anywhere. I have 50V electrolytics and 63V polyester ones. Most of the electronics junk that I salvage parts from have 1uF capacitors.

If you really can't find a 1uF capacitor then two 0.47uF (470nF) capacitors in parallel equals
0.94uF which is pretty close. Three 0.33uF (330nF) capacitors in parallel equals 0.99uF. Two 2.2uF capacitors in series equals 1.1uF.
Your choice.
