force
hey peepz,I am doing a security systems project, where there is a motion sensor , a siren and a webcam. When the motion is sensed the siren goes on and the webcam captures the image and stores it on the computer. All these are done now i need an external RAM to store atleast one frame from the webcam. The external RAM is to be interfaced to a laptop.Could any people tell me on how to interface a webcam to an external RAM. The RAM is used to store one frame from the webcam when the motion is sensed by the motion detector.force
grsparks
1 mp digital cameras are a dime a dozen these days and take a better still thenmany web cams I've seen. They come ready to go with ram. I would open oneup and run external wires to the shutter switch and the battery connectors. Many will plug right into a usb on a laptop.
