hi everybody, i'm new in this forum and also newbie in electronics.  :)  i want to ask something very basic perhaps, how do monostable and astable flip-flop REALLY work? i know that it has something to do with the capacitor but i just don't get it??  ???  can anybody explain them along with the circuit diagram? thanks before... :)

Flip flops or multivibrators are used as memory units and for generating clock waveforms.
It is only the capacitor arrangement wrt the resistor which makes it mono ,bi or astable .
But each has 2 states a 1 and a 0.
In one case the capacitors are  charged and does not allow state to change(bistable) ;D
