ar3s Posted October 12, 2005 Report Posted October 12, 2005 hi everybody, i'm new in this forum and also newbie in electronics. :) i want to ask something very basic perhaps, how do monostable and astable flip-flop REALLY work? i know that it has something to do with the capacitor but i just don't get it?? ??? can anybody explain them along with the circuit diagram? thanks before... :) Quote

prateeksikka Posted October 30, 2005 Report Posted October 30, 2005 Flip flops or multivibrators are used as memory units and for generating clock waveforms.It is only the capacitor arrangement wrt the resistor which makes it mono ,bi or astable .But each has 2 states a 1 and a 0.In one case the capacitors are charged and does not allow state to change(bistable) ;D Quote
