Carolyn Posted December 18, 2005 Report Share Posted December 18, 2005 I hope a new member can just jump right in with a question.My husband has been looking for a VHS/DVD recorder combo, max $300 if possible. He has actually purchased a number of them but after checking them out on the internet he returned them unopened because they got poor reviews. Now he is very frustrated as this was going to be our Christmas gift to each other. We only need a unit to transfer about 30 to 40 VHS tapes of our kids when they were younger but would like a machine with the capability of creating chapters or thumbnails while it records. Once this is done, we would really have no use for a DVD recorder, however, paying someone to do this for us is expensive. All comments, recommendations or help is apapreciated.
