zhiling0229
Hi guys,I'm trying to build an embedded system wave file player. This is the block diagram for this system that I thought off.A microcontroller will receive an input. The microcontroller will fetch the desire wave file from the EEPROM and will send to the D/A converter and output it to the speaker. Is this workable? Need some feedback and some circuit layout would be nice
ZomBiE
You're way off, basic principle is ok. But... It needs at least a AC'97 compatible codec and few more digital filter/sampling/converter IC's to get at least acceptable sound quality. MP
The drawing is somewhat over simplified, but what you are wanting to accomplish is posted all over the web as a mp3 player. There are schematics, etc. Actually, that brings me to the question: Don't you want to use mp3 instead of wav, since the same sound file in mp3 format is about 1/10th the size?MP
