Epson 32 & 42 PDIP ICs

There seems to be a lack of information on Epson printer memory and processors, at least the ones I have. Here is what I'm ciurious about:

This is the 32 PDIP. It came out of an Epson Action Printer 2250. I suspect it is a PROM of some kind.

Now for the 42 PDIP. It came out of an Epson 860 inkjet printer.

I'm asking because I'd liek to know if they are proprietary Epson ICs or multipurpose and worth keeping.
