aleks
Can some one tell me if its possible to measure the mF , pF , nF of an Capacitor .. if some one knows can U post an diagram 10x
Guest nanop
This meter allows u to measure if the capacitor in 6 ranges that are: 100pF, 1nF, 10nF,100nF,1uF, and 10uF.So you can measure the capacitance from 1pF to 10uF!!!You connect it to a voltmeter for the reading.http://www.talkingelectronics.com/html/CapMeter.html
aleks
Thanks wery much for the url... But do U know how I can measyr the exact capasity... like 12p ... ?
Guest nanop
How precise do u want it to be?The one above is connected to a voltmeter that's at a range of 1-10 V.To measure the reading, select the range, and read the reading on the multimeter. Its accuracy is +/- 3pF.
nevermind1281
Are you triyng to find the capacitance of surface mount caps?
aleks
The Capacitance Meter that U gave me has a range from 10p to 10u ... I need something bigger .. like up to 1000 uF / 220V
allvol
Then check this out:http://justhandhelds.com/Merchant2/merchant.mv?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=001&Product_Code=10001&Category_Code=99-
Guest nanop
Then check this out:http://justhandhelds.com/Merchant2/merchant.mv?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=001&Product_Code=10001&Category_Code=99-010Then, probaly just buy a capacitance meter. Usually, big, huge capacitors like those would be have no problems and has been tested. That's also why most over 1uF capacitors have labels on them ;)What do you want to use the meter for?I also can't access any of the www.justhandhelds.com pages. :(
