stereomonkey
Hi all,I want to start a project to build a 'motion sensing' alarm clock. Basically i want the alarm clock to "inteligentlly" know that i'm out of bed and up and getting ready before it switches the intermittent alarm off (by intermittent I mean alarm sounding for about 20secs then waiting 20secs before the next). It would ideally have 2x motion detectors (one in bedroom, one in hall to check whether i'm out of room), once they have both been triggered that means i'm heading for the shower. If neither get triggered then the alarm just keeps going off for an hour or so.This has all come around because I have difficulty getting up in the mornings, like many others I expect. As far as I can tell there is a lack of alarms, that once they wake you up they keep you up. I'm awful for getting up turning the alarm off thats on the other side of the room, then going back to sleep. What do you guys reckon to this? Any comments or suggestions welcome. Also any help as to where to start, due to my once good, but now fairly basic knowledge of electronics. Is it possible to make this sort of thing with module kits?Regards,Rob
Guest nanop
Motion detectors? Why not try using light (Infared, or laser) beams. Since the dectector is mainly used from door to door. When you block the beam, an alarm would trigger. You would later have to use ICs, or microcontrollers for Process Control and the Rest.......
