battery operated PIA with light

I have a property abroad which is vacant over Winter and the `main` electrics are switched off I am therefore trying to build/buy a battery operated PIA with a light (do not want sound) that I can fix to the wall of the balcony and one at the front door. Break ins are almost unheard of so I think the batteries could last the Winter as they are unlikely to get used for the light part, its more a precaution.
I have tried various places on the internet but cant seem to find anything suitable. It would probably need to be something fairly simple as I have never done any electronics before.

I would appreciate any help with this
