Electric6
Hello everyone I am new here and need some help.I wanted to put a camera in a nest box i have built. I could have bought one but i wanted to do this myself. I wanted to make it completely wireless as i don't feel like running 20 metres of cable down the garden. So the camera i picked was this one http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?TabID=1&ModuleNo=20927&doy=21m12It apparently picks up infra red light which means i can put a few infra red leds in there so it's illuminated all day without disturbing the birds. What i need help on is which transmitter and receiver to use with the camera. I could pick up the signal on either a pc or a television i don't mind which. Also i would prefer to power this off a few 9V batteries to make it fully wireless. I understand this might not last that long but i wanted to give it a go and try.It needs to transmit 20 metres at most and hopefully not consume to muc power to i can keep it running for as long as possible. So can anyone help me here? Thanks.

ante
Are you sure about having it wireless? It might run for a few hours on a PP3 but with half a dozen IR LED’s it will only last for 5 minutes or so.
