daisy8
Hi everyoneDoes anyone have a circuit for fading a 12 volt light globe in and out ?ThanksDaisy
audioguru
Hi Daisy,You forgot to say how much current your 12V light uses. Here is a slow LED fader cricuit that can have an offset voltage and an additional power transistor added to drive a light bulb. daisy8
Hey Audio, thanksThis is basically what I was trying to do with my volt meter (see the slow power up thread) I started this thread because I thought I might be able to use some kind of light fader to slowly activate my volt meter. If I can get your circuit to generate 12 volts and then use a transistor to hold the power at 12 volts it should work.I understand now what you were talking about in the previous thread about opamps. I have never used them before. Thanks again and Merry ChristmasDaisy
audioguru
Hi Daisy,Most opamps need a supply voltage about 1.5V hgher than their max output voltage. So if your supply voltage is 12V then an opap's max output voltage to your meter is only 10.5V.Merry Christmas.
daisy8
Ok, I will have a play and see what I can get out of it.The gauge is only really for visual effect anyway. I might just adjust the gauge a bit. Atleast I will get a slow power up with it.Thanks again. I will let you know how I go.Daisy
daisy8
Found this circuit too. Might work better.
