Hero999
Use a PLC - they're designed for that kind of thing.
cachehiker
I'm not sure where to start with a PIC but I'm currently laying groundwork based on this:http://www.arduino.cc/en/Tutorial/X10I already have a TW523 interface. The plan is to set up an X10 controller with a motion detector for the lights and the thermostat in the basement. Having a real time clock and an lcd display and X10 serial communications connected to the same controller will require some elbow grease.
