Tecarod Posted November 30, 2011 Report Share Posted November 30, 2011 I Want to build the link telephone system by Austin Hellier (as per the Electronics-Lab Site. http://www.electronics-lab.com/projects/telephone/004/index.html )for our miniature railway club,My question:-WHAT ARE THE VALUES OF CAPICATORS :- C4 and C5 on the actual circuit diagram?THEY ARE NOT IN THE PARTS LIST EITHER!!!!In the parts list C4 should be C6 or something as it is mounted off board.Has anyone built one?Has anyone experienced any difficulties?I have all the parts except for THE C4 and C5.PLEASE PRETTY PLEASE?OR CAN SOMEONE GET Austin to contact me. Hero999 Posted December 1, 2011 Report Share Posted December 1, 2011 My guess is they're something like 100nF but I can't be sure.This project is typical for this website: incomplete and may not even work. The use of opto-couplers where no isolation is required is bizarre and the circuit appears to be drawn an an almost deliberately confusing manner.
