DIY laser rangefinder

Recommended Posts

Hello, guys. I really need help with building a cheap and simple laser rangerfinder. Thinking about using Arduino as a controller, fast photodiode (with response time ~1 ns), op amp to amplify diode signal, and time-to-digital converter to measure time between sending and receiving laser beam and then send data to Arduino. BTW, pulse laser driver might be needed.. I don't actually get it.. So, if you have any ideas how to build a rangefinder, please share them!

Here's nice project, might help. https://docs.google.com/open?id=1OiLMTGzd8F3jawkCWEabgRNQEfsUCAgKrFJm0Owe8WrByC7hBFSN8vc09aUi
