Hello,

Registered here as it looks like there are some very knowledgeable folk in this community.
I have these two players, and both have the same issue. After replacing all the belts, the carousel spins around as if like normal but once discs are loaded the tray always stops on one slot before the one that aligns with the clamps that put the disc into place for it to spin and play. As you know the carousel spins clockwise so technically the tray is stopping one number past the one you selected.
Have taken tray off (replaced the door belt too) , reinstalled everything.
When the tray stops spinning, if I give it a little pull to get it to align with the clamps the clamp mechanism goes into effect and the disc plays but if we switch discs or open the door or do anything else that ejects the disc from the player we end up right at square one.
Any and all help is welcome.
Thanks in advance,

Welcome to Maker Pro.
Thanks in advance
You're welcome prematurely.
Do you have the service manual
Schematics?
After replacing all the belts
You must volunteer all information
Please... how did you know what belts to replace?

I'm becoming very knowledgeable in pulling teeth! In exchange for information. Photos, links ,anything for more in-depth explanation and or resolution to your particular predicament. Thank you.
:)
By your description it sounds to me like you're off by a cog, one tooth in a wheel because your sprockets engage The Links in the chain and or belt. Or misaligned rotary encoder. So you see from your description that's the best I can do.

On the 355. The carousel stops a few slots off as shown. I adjust the carousel manually and line up the slot with where I want it. If it's right in front of the cd mechanism it does pick it up and play, but after that or any other time that the player moves in its own it goes back to being off by 3 or so slots. All sensors cleaned.

When I was messing with the 350 it just worked after manually rotating it a couple of times. This 355 isn't cooperating like that one did.20231107_222036.jpg

Think about it! start messing around with an old ones 350 there is no comparison to the new ones 355.it's not going to cooperate like the old one did; it's new and improved!
The good people here range from age 8 to 80 years old we all wear schematics as diapers.
This site is our sandbox where we play. Please don't dig up the old buried turds.
I think the logo may have been a tip-off. ;) photo_1699449683483.png
