Transistor replacement

Hi!
I'm still trying to figure out how to repair an old Japanese board part of an external power supply and I need some help. Does anyone know where to find modern replacements for old transistors? The one in question is 2SB250. I have done some research and I can only find old stock but I don't know how reliable that is. Any ideas?
Bonus question. I believe the black component is a ceramic resistor. Are those likely to go bad? I don't know its values or how to get a replacement if needed.

Yeah gobble them up use them old stock is good stock the only stock no modifications needed.

There is no belief system in electronics. You have not stated so I must ask.
Do you know how to use a digital multimeter?
If so measure its resistance ceramics are prone to cracking laterally.
Name ?Model Numbers? of power supply please... Sorry about the bold type speech to text..

I said "I believe" because I had no idea of what I was looking at and I might be wrong. I looked for pictures of similar components for about an hour and that was my best guess. I do have a multimeter and with the ohms setting at 200 I get a reading of 01.4.
The power supply has no name, model, etc. and is impossible to come by, that's why I'm trying to repair it. It is an external controller for old cameras and flashes, made in Japan. Thank you so much again for your help.

Hello,

The transistor you got has japanese coding.
It is a PNP AF transistor.

Hello,

Could you do some "reverse engenering" on the board?
Post some pictures of the board to see if it is possible to adapt the board to more modern parts.

Thank you, Bertus. Based on what found most of the parts are resistors that are easily identifiable (at least they have the values). The tricky parts were the two pictured above. I will post some more pictures soon.
