It doesn't read vac & vdc
Unless you can see something obvious inside, might be better to simply get a new meter.
............then, whatever you did to disable the thing permanently, learn from your mistake and don't repeat.

that's what he said
obviously that's what the fault is

To the thread starter! Open up that multimeter and take a photo I'll help you..
But you have to know how to solder and that means desoldering as well..

Maybe no connection to your fault but it looks like the shunt has been cut in half.

As for the circuit, google ct-9205 circuit diagram for images

Hello,

R15 is the shunt, the thick copper wire.
It looks like there is a cut on that wire.

Hello,

R15 is the shunt resistor needed to be able to measure in the 20 Amp setting.
When damaged the range will be off.

Thanks , but my problem not in measuring Amp. but not measuring AC&DC.
Note: checked c13,Q1,Q4,Q5 in circuit - measured shorted completely.checked out circuit ok and still completely shorted at thier solderig joints on circuits.I think that short from processor IC.Are those elements relative to AC& DC measuring? I have no circuit diagram.
