    lego style analogue computer

I wonder if you can make an analogue computer out of a lego type building system. You have a unit, that can be an adder or a subtractor or multiplier or divider, and some boolean logic, and maybe amplifiers, and then u plug these together, and set what their operation is, and the chain of lego...

    S1ZB60-4072 Rectifier Bridge in series?

Theres nothing wrong with having caps in series in this situation, if you have them in series they will be a high voltage output but the charge is the same as if it were parallel (the power output watts is the same), if you grab both ends. Probably looks easier if you have them in series. If...

    S1ZB60-4072 Rectifier Bridge in series?

haha. Just wait till you get it too efficient and then youll have to hide it from people to avoid being shunned. ;)

    electro static actuator attempt

I'm going to 3d print it, so its perfect, but its such a simple thing I probably could fold and glue it out of plastic as well. The arrows are how you assemble the concentric squares to the bottom rail where its move apon, and a plug at the top to stop them falling out upwards. its diagonally...

This isnt engineering? what is it then?

Analogue correlation circuit to measure water flow in a pipe?

Thats your ears doing the magic instead of the machine.

Analogue correlation circuit to measure water flow in a pipe?

Ive got my own version of those bucket brigade delay lines, Its a cap 2 cap based delay line memory, they are actually faster than ram if u directly link them to your logic, theres no caching delay, it all just pumps out the same register, and u process the input samples through the same...

Panasonic Ni-Cd rechargeable battery life time and charging topology circuit

Yeh that looks like a battery protection system with the diode and the capacitor there, im not sure if itll work, but maybe your being a bit paranoid, u have to use something to power it. If I need 90 volts, i wouldnt mind stringing up 10 9v for it, then ill see what the problems are...

Panasonic Ni-Cd rechargeable battery life time and charging topology circuit

Elon Musk has the same problem, he wants to make an electrical aircraft, run on batteries, and he just needs too many of a crud battery where there is probably way better stuff out there, but it never sees the light of day, and I always wonder why. Why dont you run it off a magnet whirly gig...

    3d printing a growing crystal

If I get this stuff here-> https://www.n2o3.com/en/catalogue/products/aluminum-chloride-hexahydrate_2817/ Then I get some baking soda. If I slowly drip in the baking soda solution into this stuff, it'll form highly insoluble (so it has to very slowly) aluminium oxide crystals? But ive got no...

    Activating Carbon for conductivity.

I actually havent, I wonder if they make sure its conductive for quality anyway. Be interesting to see if they do that.

    3d printing a growing crystal

I wonder you can actually 3d print a growing crystal into a mould, by raising the water level of the precipitating (growing solution) a little each time, and you keep refreshing the solution each time it is "out of precipitation potential". You should as I expect get artifacts at the stepping...

    Activating Carbon for conductivity.

Correction:: when it finally dried properly its twice as BAD as tapwater. it was about 34 kiloohms at a cm apart. (on a good bit..) So the water was actually helping it conduct, not the other way around, or something happened as it dried?? (That it pulled apart from itself?)

    Activating Carbon for conductivity.

I put on my stove top a potatos worth of potato slices and chunks, and emmersed it in the flame for about 3 hours, I took it off too early, got 0 conductance, so I put it in a metal wire seive, and then I cooked it a bit more, got it glowing, but I fricken burnt myself on the finger, so best be...

piezo-electric pump for mini hydraulic robot

Its not that small, probably make it 3cm by 3cm by 1cm probably would be nice, for a disc shaped one. The hydraulic volume is very small, but it makes up for it (somewhat) by going really high frequency. That sounds perfect. :) Making room for those would be easily budgetted in, cause its...

piezo-electric pump for mini hydraulic robot

One of these little micro-pumps would be great for a miniature hydraulic robot, with electrical actuation of its actuators. My system is doing that except, I'm making my own electrostatic version, they operate at 10 kilohertz but they only have a micrometre stroke. So if you multiply 0.0001 by...

    Waterproof low voltage circuit needed

Yeh you need a latch to do it properly, you could make a cruddier one just by using a mosfet (cause they sorta act like a latch in themselves.), and u just check if its been charged or not, by getting a blip into an led, but u wont know until you check, u might need to amp it into a...

    static electricity generators

The *potential charge* or total store stays the same. as d increases v increases, as d decreases v decreases. as d decreases, capacitance goes up, while volts go down, (like u said...), so it cancels out no matter how far the plates are apart. :) AudoGuru - if you keep it in a sealed...
