    static electricity generators

    I wonder what wins out of doing it with a capacitor, or doing it tribo-electric, contact mode. That contact style looks cool. it would be similar to doing it with a capacitor, because u would set up a heap of parallel plates the same, it could look a very similar machine. heres another vid...

    Heres another friction generator, looks cool, has a slide style and a contact style.

    static electricity generators

    Ah thanks I missed it! But I've got a slightly different question, you know how dc motors are also generators. is the same true for capacitors? (Electrostatic actuators as generators) That if you dolly the plates back and forth mechanically do you get a charge coming out of it?

    static electricity generators

    This video has some cool static electricity generators. But I'm not quite sure how to put them together myself, I'm not sure about what materials to use, but especially I don't know how to connect the anode and cathode. Any help from anyone would be gratefully appreciated.

    Motor and battery for hobby project?

    marvellous, should be powerful enough to lift a good 1000 kingies that one.

    Motor and battery for hobby project?

    yeh but how are you going to activate the motor?

    The 2 capacitor paradox

    Yep, and i even added a diode.

    The 2 capacitor paradox

    I just tried it out, i used 28.9 volts, and ended up with 11 volts on each cap. I tried it with a resistor and it was the same just took more time. It was enough for a strong blip from both capacitors. I got 25% loss each time. (add 11 and 11, you get 22.) so its 25% loss on starting...

    I cant find where to buy spark gap "circuit interrupters"

    Thats really cool, and under 200volts! pretty useful.

    analogue pong circuit I found on the internet

    I admit it, I dont much try on presentation, I go for the more honest lazy messy house style. :) hehe. Im actually running short stroke high speed ESA pumps for the drone, and the actual "muscle" is hydraulic. And his brain is going to run like a high-speed pong machine on steroids. =)...

    I cant find where to buy spark gap "circuit interrupters"

    I need to explain one more thing. with 3 caps in series, in you charge them with 30v, you only get 10v each. But if I charge it with a 90v battery, then I get 30v each. So the more caps in series I want to put in the amplifier, I have to exceed the voltage, otherwise it doesn't work, yes...

    analogue pong circuit I found on the internet

    Heres a bit of work of mine-> Theres alot of bugs there, the new version will be way better. It has little hiccups every now again because the body of the robot has bugs in its hinges and the physics isn't perfect either. But the code is suprisingly small!!! All it is, is a physics frame...

    I cant find where to buy spark gap "circuit interrupters"

    Yeh I know that, if u accumulate the charge from the signal, you can release it in short more powerful bursts, but its the same amount of power, I was actually looking at that for a while.

    analogue pong circuit I found on the internet

    Thats pretty cool only 13 ic's!! Pong is great to learn electronics from, I'm definitely going to make one, Ill go for a record low amount of discrete components, then i'll get onto slightly more complicated physics for a walking robot. (But hopefully not too much more.) A single...

    I cant find where to buy spark gap "circuit interrupters"

    Say I have 3 capacitors in series, but the 1st capacitor is either charged or uncharged before hand, the other 2 capacitors are empty. (Thats the thing everyone always misses.) If the 1st capacitor is charged, no current can go though, and the 2 other capacitors remain empty, but if it...

    I cant find where to buy spark gap "circuit interrupters"

    I mean by amplification as an increase in power whilst maintaining the on off nature of a signal that's being amplified. Not just changing amps for volts... im not totally crazy. :)

    analogue pong circuit I found on the internet

    https://kaput.retroarchive.org/pong.html Heres a video of the guy running his machine. This is really cool, could some of you guys finish one of these? As I slowly get more finished with my work, I might have an analogue pong circuit of my own as a side effect halfway through as soon as I...

    I cant find where to buy spark gap "circuit interrupters"

    I've never used a neon how much volts do they need? I'm keeping the system as low voltage as possible until I get to the electrostatic actuators, then I might get to 3000 volts max, only because I have to, I'd rather not put myself in danger, but the other thing other than transistors I'm...

    I cant find where to buy spark gap "circuit interrupters"

    Yes you are correct, it works best with binary signals, but I bet if you teamed up 8 of them with an adc going into them, you could bring back an analogue signal composed of so many binary amplifications. But it definitely responds off with off, and on with on, but maybe halfway between wont...
