Wifi router does not turn on after outage (not what you think please read)

Does this router use a 'wall-wort' type power supply? Try a different (compatible) power supply, or use a voltmeter to check for output on the one you have.

APL1085 transistor What does the bottom row code mean?

Oh, and this isn't a transistor, it is an integrated voltage regulator.

APL1085 transistor What does the bottom row code mean?

Have you looked at the data sheet? You are probably looking at the date code.

    Cell phone detector circuit

These circuits depend on the input structure of the IC to rectify the incoming RF and shift the DC operating point of the amplifier. Not what they are designed to do, but I guess if the RF is strong enough it might work.

Have all the UPS makers switched to no consumer battery replacement?

May be that the ones that use SLA batteries have replaceable batteries, and the ones that use Li-Ion do not. With all the Chinese counterfeit Li-Ion batteries on the market, there is likely a liability/fire hazard that the manufacturers don't want to deal with.

Do you really need new pots? Have you tried cleaning them? CRC QD Electronic cleaner, or DeoXit D5.

    Choicemmed pulse oximeter

A while back I pulled apart an older model ChoiceMMed PulseOx meter. As the saying goes "No user serviceable parts inside".

Same thing. HiFiEngine and Elektrotanya typically have the same data.

    Heathkit AR-15

Yeah, I just used "Power Supply" as an example of something that was common to both channels.

    Heathkit AR-15

Are these incorrect voltages on both channels? Normally a failure of both channels is from something that is common to both channels, like a power supply voltage. A bad Q201 in one channel will not affect the other.

Repairing an old amplifier, working out what is dead

A disconnect here. If it is an 'old' amplifier, it wouldn't have a 'logic board' or auto turn-on. Those would be features of a relatively new amplifier. An 'old amplifier' would have tubes, or germanium transistors, of at least no digital parts. J/K

How do I test these transistors? (electronics noob here)

A common failure of output transistors is a collector-emitter short. That is also a measurement you can make on these. DMM on diode test range should show open in both directions between C and S pins.

    BATTERY RECHARGING DETAILS NEEDED

https://batteryuniversity.com/learn/article/nickel_based_batteries NiMH may not be the best choice for you. Charge at the 0.1c rate, unless you can monitor temperature. NiMH batteries do not like to be overcharged, and there is no easily discernible indication of full charge, so you really...

    How to identify capacitors

That link is to an 0805 part. That means it is 0.08" long and 0.05" wide. That is a fairly big part, certainly more than 'pin tip sized'. These parts are also available in sizes 0402, and 0201. The latter being 0.02" long and 0.01" wide. That is perhaps 'pin tip sized'. If you have a high...

My Li-Ion Battery Charger Circuit Is Not Working As Expected

Me neither, so I looked. Found this one: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/899929942.html . I suspect the battery management electronics (balancing, overvoltage/undervoltage protect) is internal to the battery.

    Recommendation for side cutters

Ugh. Those don't cut the wire, they tear the wire. My favorite has always been Erem. For small stuff I use a 622NB https://www.amazon.com/622NB-Magic-Tapered-Relieved-Cutter/dp/B000FQ81LE/ref=sr_1_1?dchild=1&keywords=erem+622nb&qid=1597264417&sr=8-1, and for the larger stuff I use a 592E...

    No power RX-V681

Could be, or could be a Zener diode in the standby regulator is fried. But no way to tell without at least a schematic and a voltmeter.
