    Your Wire Wound resistors have a Very Low Voltage rating. I have some Dale/Vishay, 100K Resistors that are rated at 7.5 KV that might work better for you. But you don't say Where you live?

    Yes but Not That Low. Even at an Idle, of 800 RPM, the Alternator is turning about Twice That.

    What is the Output of your Alternator Connected to? No Load and it will turn fairly Easy regardless of the field current, High Current load and Much Harder to turn. But it is also about RPM as alternators don't put out much at low RPM.

    Using just PWM can reduce the Output Current, but it will not regulate the output voltage. It would be better to use a Voltage Regulator that has a Current Limiting of some kind.

    Personally I Like the Kester 331 Solder. This is a 63/37 with a Water Based Flux. Just wash the Assembled board under a Warm or Hot Water To to remove all the flux residue.

    My Jacobs Ladder on a 15KV, 60mA Neon transformer. Even at 60mA, these rods get fairly Hot after a few minutes. Don't know why it shows Sideways?

    Neon Transformers are Typically 15KV. I have some that are rated at 30mA and some at 60ma. The 60ma is Quite good on my 3 Foot high Jacobs Ladder. Winding a 15KV transformer at 300 Ma would be rather difficult. That's 4,500 Watts. 1800 Volts, even at 300 mA, for a Jacobs is not all that good...

    Your right, So I should have Defined it a bit better. Yes to prevent BACK EMF from a Coil in doing damage to the Transistor.

    D7 should Only be needed if its a Mechanical Buzzer that has a Coil in it. Yes to prevent BACK EMF from a Coil.
