    by the top end do you mean the side the power comes in?? either way the results are R108 measures 66.1VDC one side and 66.2VDC the other side with the negative probe to T4 0v rail all powered up and Q46 installed

    ok set my meter to the 2000 range in the Ω section R108 measure's 989 with the probes either way round the amp was switched off and Q46 still removed, R108 was still in circuit while testing. i am going to remove the board again and look at the areas where i have changed componants, just to...

    dont know if this helps but while testing i touched the black probe on the collector of Q46,and red on r117 and the fault led went out!!! the one on the facia panel was still lit though!!

    i can not get to the under side of the board once in the case so i soldered these pins in temporaraly for test purposes sorry about the photo, i have no natural light at the min, anyway here is the results i got with Q46 removed, hope this points us in the right direction,

    i have the y-sus board removed, but all the caps look fine, no damage or swelling anywhere, could it be a faulty transistor or something else causing this fault, possibly even bad connection, the ribbon cables came away fine once i released the little latch on the sockets
