    Thanks for your reply, I have the back off already and looked at the caps, can't see anything obvious, any ideas which board to start looking at as there is a few in this set, I don't think its the psu as it powers up and works, could be wrong tho, will upload some pix of inside, thanks again :-)

    are we anywhere near to having this operating correctly? I don't mind if we're not, Also where some of the components are not fitted on the schematic, is it possible to fit some of them to make this amp better, or would it be pointless, I have no idea wher the missing circuitry would have done.

    Is it just certain transistors reversed like this, I have done all my previous measurements the other way round, only reason I noticed this was different was because I wanted to know a little more about this one with it being heat sensitive, so I searched the part number and came across the pin...

    just did this again and must have shorted something, them resistor fuses go fast!!!! changed it for a new one,noticed the reading drasticaly changes when my arm tuches the chassis of the unit? anyway with me not touching it with a part of my body i get -87.3 with fluctuation up and down, meter...

    Here is my meter display set on 200m As you can see it has two 0s a decimal point then another zero, maybe it's the way my meter works making all the readings seem wrong, or I am using it incorrectly??
