Innovative New Headphone Amp Help Needed.

Hi Raid, Welcome to our forum. ;D Aren't you from another web forum? Another headphones amp. Made with a lot of pre-existing technology. You say it has some fairly new and unique customisations and is innovative. That's what all maketing people say, it is even written on the can of soup I ate...

    Low-pass Filter?

There are two ICs used in the fixed and improved circuit. Go to www.google.com or www.datasheetarchive.com and look at their datasheets.

    MIC502

The MIC502 is a simple low-frequency PWM fan controller. http://www.datasheetarchive.com/semiconductors/download.php?Datasheet=1380368 If you can't get one then make it from a couple of opamps.

Do people build stuff for a customer?

To locate my car, I just press its remote and it beeps and flashes its lights from pretty far away! What century are you in??? ;D

    Cleaning potentiometers

I saw a kid with an RC toy car. It had a lighted small can of WD-40 on the back making lots of flame, smoke and noise. I don't think it provided much thrust. ::)

    Help me modify FM Radio

Hi Shahriar, In Google, enter in the search box Silicon Chip Micromitter. The 1st link is their FM stereo transmitter project that is rock-stable due to its crystal-controlled phase-locked-loop adjustable tuning system and other good stuff. It has an attenuator on its output to limit its range...

    Cleaning potentiometers

Hi Dead, You didn't say exactly how much the levels were different between the channels. Ten percent voltage difference is only about 1dB which isn't noticeable to your logarithmic hearing. Maybe your speakers are out-of-phase, then one that is slightly closer sounds much louder than the other...

    0-30 Vdc Stabilized Power Supply

An LM741C also has a max supply voltage of 36V. Some 741A opamps are rated for 44V.

audio mixer - graphical display of sound output? compare 2 signals?

I think the "clunk" sound when fading quickly is a fault of the VCA called "control signal feed-through". It would also occur as a "click" if the fading is extremely fast like a sudden mute, but it happens when the signal is at one of its peaks so the muting causes the output to suddenly drop...

    Cleaning potentiometers

Hi Dead, The pot has a wiper on its pin 2 and the cleared spot on the track is the tap for pin 3. When the pot is in its center position then pin 2 should be connected to pin 3. I don't think the slight 7% difference in resistance between the two sections would be noticeable. It would be less...

audio mixer - graphical display of sound output? compare 2 signals?

Hi Bonanz, The cut-in sounds good, but the fade has a "clunk" sound with it, like an abrupt  DC level-shift. Can you post the schematic of the fader circuit for us to see what might be causing it? It would be easy to see at the output of the mixer on an oscilloscope. You could compare the input...

    0-30 Vdc Stabilized Power Supply

Sorry, I was wrong. If Q2 or Q4 was shorted then the output voltage would be too high and without a load then there wouldn't be any current. About the only things that could draww too much supply current is a short on your pcb, shorted or backwards C1, C7 or D11, shorted C5 or the opamps. Or any...

    Audio Transformer

Hi Akillian, You don't need a big expensive audio transformer to make a simple AM Tx and Rx. Transistors and resistors will work instead. Audio transformers have poor low frequency and poor high frequency response. So when fed a square wave, the output will look rounded and tilted on an...

    Antenna and TV standard

Years ago I bought the biggest and best all-channels yagi TV+FM antenna that was made. With a rotor I got up to 3 distant cities' signals on the same channel, on a few channels. Its range was much farther than the TV guide in my newspaper. I could rotate it to pick a good reflection from a...

    Increased voltage!

I still have my very 1st colour TV. It is a 1971(?) 27" Philips hybrid and it still works fine! Its degaussing circuit scares my wifey and dog. Its dripping electrolytics scare me. I haven't used it for about 5 years so I should remove my descrambler circuits and also get rid of it. ;D

    Bass Extender

I'm just a little guy. They should go after the big, bad guys who sell the copies. A couple days ago some Chinese stores near me were raided and 150,000 pirate DVD's were confiscated by the cops. They're worth a lot of money. Now the cops can sell them. The same crooks and stores were raided...

    0-30 Vdc Stabilized Power Supply

The TL081 has an absolute max supply voltage of only 36V. U2 and U3 in this project have a positive supply plus a negative supply that add to more than 36V. That's why I say in this thread that opamps having a higher voltage rating should be used.

    My Robot Project--Power supply

The choice of a battery depends on how much current for what length of time. Six AA alkaline cells also produce 9V when new but last 5 to 6 times longer than a little 9V alkaline battery. Six AA lithium cells last about 6 to 7 times longer than alkaline and have less weight.
