using Diodes/NC switches as Motor Limit switches.

Well, it's your drawing. Obviously you misunderstand schematics. However, the way it operates is.... Press F button, KF coil energises. KF-1 and KF-2 change state, tracing current flow from positive, through KF-1 top left contact through common to motor, through the closed forward limit L-F...

using Diodes/NC switches as Motor Limit switches.

OK....sorted out your rat's nest and diagram shown below. It does indeed disallow any disastrous effect from pushing both forward and reverse buttons at the same time, so one up for you there. It works, granted, BUT in general terms it is not generally a good practice to run limit switches @...

using Diodes/NC switches as Motor Limit switches.

I'll take a look but again from first peek I see no interlocks to avoid running forward and reverse at the same time. No marking as to which limit or relay is forward and reverse. As I said, it's not me who has something to learn.

Newbie Q: Can I repair this Sunbeam heated throw?

Just curious as to what sort of fireman has electrical qualifications ? Imagine different countries, different requirements. Would be considered a joke down in Aus. The hot water bottle I can remember way back in 1960 at my grandmothers, haven't seen one since though.

using Diodes/NC switches as Motor Limit switches.

Well, someone has something to learn but it's not me I'm sorry to have to tell you. Something not right there. Just at first glance I see two diodes back to back in the blue motor lead so nothing will pass through that. If you have it working then, as I said, I'd like to see the correct as-built...

IR IMAGING DEVICE on the cheap

I've seen some on Youtube use common old web cameras as well with a mod to remove the IR filter. Some more difficult than others.

Need help identifying an electronic component

Big cap and mains input choke on bottom, opto on the left side, caps at top, I'd agree with Audioguru. Especially since there is T1 written on the left hand side.:):) Rarely , if ever, are these found as faulty in an smps. How is the fuse on the left..?? (F1) Just be aware some of these...

Newbie Q: Can I repair this Sunbeam heated throw?

I think you've picked the wrong end of the choice of objects to recycle. These things were never meant to be repaired, even way back when 3 heat switching was used some 50 years ago. When you see and understand their construction, manufacture process, need for safety in the working unit then you...

using Diodes/NC switches as Motor Limit switches.

To have a forward and reverse current direction through a particular circuit load then a minimum of components are required. If you have a new simpler way to do it then I for one would love to see your working diagrams. Only been in electrical / electronics for 55 years so perhaps I've missed...

Low Power Embedded DC supply from 120Vac Mains

Yes, as I suspected, non-isolated supply. Refer to #4 and note the dangers.

using Diodes/NC switches as Motor Limit switches.

Difficult to decipher your drawing however, normal arrangement is to place the motor between your diodes in the drawing. Your forward/reverse switches (if that is what they are meant to be) are incorrectly drawn and just plain wrong. What you do after shifting the motor is then arrange for...

DVDR 985 not playing the NTSC recorded DVDs

Read somewhere they require dual layer dvd. That's the problem with 20 year old technology.

    Looking for 60A 60V mosfet

Rather difficult trying to decipher just what it is exactly that you need. Best approach is sketch up a diagram and others can go from there.

Low Power Embedded DC supply from 120Vac Mains

The link in post #1 shows an isolated supply which is fine, all-be-it of open construction. If enclosed in a plastic case as an example, no problem. In the #2 post there is no spec that I saw which showed it is isolated design and if used in any product with free access to the low voltage...

No it did not go unanswered. There were explanations in each of the replies.

Fuse rating for electric car heating system?

I'm curious why the fuse blew in the first place. Doubt there would be any 500v dc or anywhere near it being interrupted in any case.

Two relays in series with flyback diode.

As you do not show your application, it is impossible to argue for or against as you come up with these particulars, not in your original posting but well after someone makes a statement. Difficult to keep up with such things I'm sure you would agree. The "fail safe " arrangement may not work...

Momentary Switch to directional DC motor

That might be all well and good in theory. In practice motors have a tendency to keep running in a particular direction when the power is removed, call it run down time if you like. This will vary with the size of the motor rotor and the load. So my point is still valid.

    PSU help please.

Not worth the effort. It's a completely different designed power unit. If you want to build one, I'm sure there are plenty of circuits out there in the internet. However, buying a ready made unit would be guaranteed to work and cost a LOT less. Some with the ability might see it as a challenge...
