    I'm guessing you've seen something somewhere you want to copy , possibly at a cheap cost. You obviously have some idea as to what gear you want to use or how you want to use it so share that info to start with. Other than that we have no idea how to proceed.

    PC would only be able to supply "signal level" in both voltage and current and I imagine opto couplers being the best approach. Not enough detail to say much else really. Have you tried some of the (many) internet sites that specialise in this sort of thing, both commercial and open source diy.??

    Wiring diagram for what? A truck load of wiring diagrams won't help you. Apparently that does not include, get you head out of the sand, pay attention and listen for a change. I've struck some bull headed people in my time who simply won't be told but you certainly take the cake.

    Don't remember much about Protel except I didn't use it for very long( some 10 years ago) I tend to use other more user friendly online programs now like EasyEda. Many features and I picked up the gist of it in around 2 hours or so.

    Bit like the formation of corrosion on the positive of a wet lead acid cell. Similar Ni-Cd were used in a pump station we used to maintain back in the 80-90's.
