cord pulled out of reader writer

R x 1. What you are looking for is continuity to see which wire is connected to which pin as Harald said. You could use the buzzer if it has one.

    Subaru Forester remote

May or may not have onboard LED. Originally saw L1 thought it might have been, apparently not. Did you load the battery under test, say using an LED? Would not be the first time a new battery is sold as a "clone" in almost identical packaging. Give away point is the price usually. Solder points...

    Subaru Forester remote

Does the on-board led light up when switch is pressed?? New battery, clean up contacts for both the battery and the antenna. Some use the key as an antenna (contact 5?)

    round slotted nut tool ?

That particular link has many screw head types BUT none for chainring nuts. As I said, you will more than likely have to make a tool, small ones not easy to find.

    Mystery IC

I'm not about to go searching all over for something you may or may not have bought. However, here is a link to a 4 wire meter that will read down to 0 volts. Note it requires a separate supply battery from the measuring supply. Most digital metering you will find requires similar approach...

    Mystery IC

Some small voltmeters can be modified to read down to 0 volt by cutting a link and providing the meter first with the voltage needed to drive the meter, and then another lead to measure the voltage in question. The link is usually in the area of a couple of voltage divider resistors on the...

    round slotted nut tool ?

It's called a chainring nut and there are many instances of it's use on bicycles. The tool for the small ones may be difficult to find but if you want to "roll your own" there are illustrations of different sizes and types on Ebay. Look for bicycle chainring nut wrench.

TTP223 Touch Sensor with LED Strip

I already showed a link and a quote from the spec of the sensor the Op quoted as being used that says max 5v5.

TTP223 Touch Sensor with LED Strip

Yes, I did see that but I also saw where the Op quoted " the same circuit" so anyone's guess as to what really is what.

Burglar alarm circuits failing to drive opto isolated EasyDaq DIO board

Cannot see head nor tail from your diagram but spec sheet for the unit you quote say a low is 0 to 1v5.

TTP223 Touch Sensor with LED Strip

"GENERAL DESCRIPTION The TTP223-BA6/TTP223N-BA6 TonTouchTM is a touch pad detector IC which offers 1 touch key. The touching detection IC is designed for replacing traditional direct button key with diverse pad size. Low power consumption and wide operating voltage are the contact key features...

TTP223 Touch Sensor with LED Strip

As I said , sensor is only 5v.

Given that, best you get local assistance from one who does.

TTP223 Touch Sensor with LED Strip

Probably blew the crap out of the sensor when you hooked it up to 12v.

    Power supply help?

Main board pulling excessive current? Did you measure it? Instances such as this it can be an advantage to use a series lamp to prevent any further damage while live testing.
