    Large motor start up

If you used one battery as supply for your control circuit , you could as I mentioned earlier, successively switch in one battery at a time, perhaps starting with 24v or 36v, using automotive type solenoids. They are usually rated at around 150A or more and usually fairly economical (maybe $20 a...

    Large motor start up

One way would be to successively switch in one battery at a time using appropriate contactors if starting on no load. For large current contactors I would expect it better to see an electrical wholesale supplier or just ask an electrician.

    Correct Motor Help

Not sure what you mean about 5mm rod but if your intention to drive this on the surface of the wheel then forget it, never work. Idea would be use a small diameter pulley on the motor and a large diameter pulley on the wheel, same arrangement as used in go-karts etc only they use a chain instead...

    Correct Motor Help

Use synchronous belts, sometimes referred to as cogged belts as they will not slip and there are small aluminium pulleys available to give you some " gear reduction".

    Correct Motor Help

Brushless motors are readily available for rc use and as such fairly economical. Controllers for the motors the same. Perhaps 2 smaller motors for the same reason. As for size you can get examples on some of the rc forum sites as to power. They can rev fairly high so gearboxes may be required...

Honeywell HD6 PTZ Camera mount control options

Could be or might be steppers. Fairly broad query. As a comparison it only takes one rocket to get into space, problem is the bit in between the idea and the objective.

A bit like having half a car. Most likely a costly project both in time and money with no guaranteed outcome.

Replace 9Volt Battery with Solar Panel

Time spent up a ladder doing the mods wouls seem to me to be far in excess of simply replacing a battery now and then.

    Switch over power lines

You don't say how far the garage is from the house. There are long range 433mhz units that I've used to around 100 metres. At around $15 from Ebay, might be worth a try. Various models, 1 to 4 relays.

Help! Color dropping in and out on 1978 Zenith Chromacolor II television

Mmm..ok. But signal from an av input doesn't come through the tv turner so a bit confusing there. Edit...so assuming you are using some form of rf box to retransmit to tv?

Help! Color dropping in and out on 1978 Zenith Chromacolor II television

Depends just how much signal you have now. Usual approach is to have sufficient signal from the antenna. From your description it sounds like you are using just a set top antenna so might be a good move to get an external antenna sufficient to suit your particular area. You will be getting...
