    If all the windows latch to down position on a short impulse it should be easy. Just wire them all together from one switch using a diode in series for each window and the standard wiring won’t be affected!

    DC voltage regulator

    The LM7805 has its tab connected to ground so cooling it can be done by bolting it to the car chassis as it then also will be connected to negative. (Not applicable on some older British cars though!) ;D
