    Need help troubleshooting pcb relay

Not saying this is the cause of your problem, but something to keep in mind with these sealed relays, they often have a small dimpled pip in the top either in one corner or in the centre of the relay. For high switching loads it pays to open this dimple , they are usually kept sealed during the...

    Need help troubleshooting pcb relay

You should have 12vdc across the coil when powered, first suspect would be whatever device is switching the coil.

    Need help troubleshooting pcb relay

Depends on the circuit, but normally you should have the rated voltage of the coil read across it, IOW a 12vdc coil should measure exactly that across the coil. What is the coil voltage rating stated on the relay? The contacts would read their supply voltage when open and zero volts when closed.

Universal Motor 2 speed Rectifying Diode Kaput (1990 Unimat 3 Lathe)

I would go with the ;larger one, just to be on the safe side, My guess is a 1n4007 would not last long, there is high inrush to a series wound motor.

whats is proper name for this , heat sensor? temperature thermostat?

As I mentioned it could be a thermally operated component. i.e. 'Thermocouple' . But I doubt that is the problem, especially if it appears dead. That device is normally just used to control temperature. Some investigation as to where in the whole circuit that comes in to play.

whats is proper name for this , heat sensor? temperature thermostat?

Some are thermal operated resistances also they come in NO or NC type. If not the original thermal type, you would need to know the temperature .

    Unavailable small AC motor components

What you show is a a Universal motor with a suppression cap across the brushes. The motor will operate without it, just that it may emit electrical noise. A high quality type should be used, ceramic etc.

    amplify DC voltage input to universal motor (24 V -> ~ 60 V)

The older automotive starters were series field motors due to their very high torque at zero RPM with a high load. If you connect in parallel, you would need DC not AC. but the field should be fed by a separate constant voltage. The Universal (series field motor), operates in a run away...

How does the operator of a CNC milling machine program the machine and set up the workpiece and cutting tools for a specific job?

Just to add to the above, a good reference to G-code programming is "CNC Programming Handbook" by Peter Smid. Also there are what is know as CAD/CAM "Computer Aided Manufacturing" programs , which will produce the G-code etc for entering in to the machine. A CNC machine Operator should also...

    Unavailable small AC motor components

Re-reading the OP I don't think the .025uF is a start capacitor, that is a really small value for the task. But oil filled paper motor start caps are readily available, makes such as CDE , Cornell Dubilier etc Oil/paper caps do not deteriorate like electrolytic do. Is there any connection...

    Unavailable small AC motor components

I see it is an intermittent use motor? The capacitor should be replaced with a AC motor run rated version, also if it has sintered bronze bearings instead of ball type they should be cleaned and ensured they are re-lubricated well, and also checked for wear. Any 16a rated rectifier should work...

    Need help specifying certain motor

I would refute this claim made by the writer, DC motors aren’t able to produce as much torque as AC, making the motor less powerful. DC motors don’t last as long as AC motors Also according to the article, her authority on the subject lies in fitness techniques ?

Which way round does battery red and black go ?

If you measure continuity from one soldered point to the very rear of the power adaptor plug entry, this should be the positive, the other, will be the bl;ack.

    Treadmill potentiometer/pwm?

The only issue is that the unit voltage is too low, (36v) in order to control TM motors up to the rated RPM/Torque. If you tried a PWM command signal on the MC2100 , is the PWM control signal limited to <50ma? As the Input Opto won't take any more than this. One symptom is a brief flash of the...

Need help finding new(old) capacitor or equivalent, please

That is a Sprague electrolytic, very popular make. You need to look for an electrolytic replacement, 1600uF at 200vdc. Try Digikey or Mouser.

    Treadmill potentiometer/pwm?

If it has the typical Opto PC817 etc, then the input diode has to be restricted to 50ma, so requires a total series resistance in order not to exceed this. I am not familiar with the Endex board. Most of the motors for the typical TM's will interchange motors.
