    Those simple ebay (141763227567) 3 ph Alternators are basically for wind vane generators etc, which is what I used one for using a 3 banks of LED's per phase pairs. They use two yellows and a blue for some reason? M.

    Stepper Motor problems...

    Stepper/synchro's are OK for say wind direction, but not speed, you need friction-less devices. There is usually too much indent torque to overcome in a stepper. Those appear as moving coil meters so they could be ideal to be calibrated to a linear output of the LM2907 etc. M.

    From what I read of the controller it is a 120deg hall effect commutated BLDC motor with a variable control voltage of 1v to 4.2v. It should be easy to tailor this 4.2 voltage to a lower level. M.

    Whenever possible I have tended to buy Weidmuller hand tools/crimpers they are $$ but are worth it if you intend using it extensively or over a life time, I use them in my job so it pays to get the best. M.
