Pump alarm and shut off system

The idea I had is to set the timer on when the output of the current sensor is on the relay starts to time for 20m, If less, then the timer resets, if 20m then the timer times out and latches in a relay which opens the line to the pump, it would also set the alarm which stays on until the system...

Pump alarm and shut off system

Seems as though you could use the current sensor to trigger an ON-Delay timer set for 20min, the timer relay could open the line to the pump, simultaneously latching a relay with a contact also feeding what ever alarm you wished. M.

    Triac Testing

Simple way to test a triac under power is use a 6v - 12v transformer and hook a suitable lamp and the triac up in series across the secondary, use a 33ohm resistor from G to A2 and it should switch on/off with when resistor connected. M.

    Coil Question

You say you have a machine capable of it, is it set up for winding now or are you thinking of designing a new system entirely? M.

What level are you looking for? A design from the ground up, or reviving the present machine system?. M.

    Boost AC circuit

All the major Industrial machine tool (CNC) manufacturers I have been involved with, Fanuc, Mitsubishi, Siemens etc have voltage input specs and tolerance all typically ±10% . e.g. Fanuc specify +10% and -15% . M.

    Boost AC circuit

Did you actually wire every thing in properly interlocked to switch off the air pump, dump the air when the 1/2hp starts, and restart the air pump at the end of the well pump interval? I can see no reason why this would not work? Unless you relied on manual intervention? M.

    Boost AC circuit

Can you use the method in #9 but use a method of unloading the air pump until up to speed? Unload valve e.g.. Or can it be off for just the 30min/day ? M.

    Boost AC circuit

Another strategy is to turn the Air motor off very briefly when the 1/2hp kicks in, it is fairly infrequent. Once the pump is running, bring the air motor back on line. M.

    Boost AC circuit

A 1500ft 12g cable run will drop ~4v when the pump is running, allowing for a 10a inrush at start, for a very brief time it would drop by 23v-25v should be no concern, as I said find out where the drop is happening? If at all. M.

    Boost AC circuit

If it were me I would be interested in finding out why? Not patch it up unless there are other circumstances. If the supply for the circuits is wired in 12g 220v it should normally be capable of around 4.5Kw! There is no way a fractional HP motor should cause the voltage to collapse, even the...
