Relay problem (buzzing noise) on motor and solenoid control board for hydraulic bath

One of the first things with a symptom such as this is to look at the power supply, First find out the current capacity of the gear pump, this can be done with a supply that is well above what the pump requires in the way of current, Then use an ammeter to take a reading to find out the required...

Relay problem (buzzing noise) on motor and solenoid control board for hydraulic bath

Not so much the motor necessarily but the load. Have you tried the motor direct on to a DC supply to see if it operates OK? And voltage remains correct. Also when the 'buzzing' occurs monitor the coil voltage and see what is happening there. M.

Relay problem (buzzing noise) on motor and solenoid control board for hydraulic bath

Have you tried it with the motor disconnected, this may offer some direction to take. M.

In need of help with AC motor!

I would definitely find a N.Amer replacement, Chinese versions are unreliable, ensure it is AC Motor Run rated. M.

    Smoke machine heater replacement.

Is the 'Thermal switch' a type of regulating thermostat as opposed to a over heat condition? Presumably the machine will switch off sooner, it is not ALL that great an increase, By George! M.

    Step down transformers

Transformers are generally rated in (K)va and the rating applies to primary and secondary, The only other limiting factor is if the secondary winding is of insufficient gauge to support the current. M.

    Changing Ceiling Fan Capacitor

For motor run/start capacitors there is no polarity to observe. either connection should work. I use N.A. made oil filled for reliability. CDE etc. M.

    Which End Normally Has Power?

If any connection is of such a level that poses a safety hazard the Live or feed side would be a female receptacle. If using anything classed as Low Voltage, then either could be chosen, but I normally stick the the former method, regardless. Of course male connectors can have exposed terminals...

    Changing Ceiling Fan Capacitor

    3 phase 415v to 240 or 110 v

Do you mean you do not have access to the neutral? Usually the 415v 3ph transformer in the UK has a neutral providing 230v. If not then a single phase 415/230v transformer is another option. M.

    Help Identifying Three Pin Connector

I would say it is either a ITT Cannon M-XL series or 3pin Mini-Din style, probably the latter. Search DigiKey may help. M.

    Can someone explain this circuit

So I assume the 555 is intended to mimic an external winding counter device, is he/she looking for more of an explanation from you? Look up an explanation or examples of 555 circuits, there are literally 100's out there as it is one of the most popular general purpose IC's in use. You will be...

    Can someone explain this circuit

It appears to be a LED flash unit, but why do they use a 555 would be my question? There is already a micro used, I do not use R.Pi. but do use picmicro's and do not see the reason for the 555 when the micro should perform a similar function. M.

    Boosting transformer current output

You cannot exceed the Va rating of the transformer, regardless of winding gauge. This is dependent largely on core size. M.

    pic input/outputs

Why would you need to connect 5v direct? Mosfet are usually preferred now as they do not impose the low impedance to an output that Bi-polar do. M.
