    SCSI is a complicated communication protocol, its not like the rs232 that can be converted to usb and even that needs an active converter to be done.

    are you sure the remote is working ? maybe the input button is not working. If it is an IR remote you can check it's function easily by pointing the IR led towards your cellphones camera while on camera mode and watch for light emmissions when pressing a button on the remote.

    Thank you for the comments sir Consultant. Im not sure. I suspect that theese chips where used on shipboard equipment. most likely satcomm as you suggested. Even if the manufacturer has any info about them they would not tell specially if they where ment to be used by the military.

    You also need to consider the voltage limits that the tube can accept. For example if it is fed with 300V then 150V may not be enough to ionize the gas within the tube and make it flash.

    Dear friend, i beleave you are looking for a needle in a haystack here... With a good brand capacitor, As long as you maintain the same capacitance and voltage rating you should be fine.

    Though the missing part may be the same as the one the arrow points, the parts arrangement is not the same at theese two points. I can not tell for sure. Hope iv'e helped :)
