    So as long as I stand on a dry insulative surface like most interior floors while holding the line in one hand and the neutral in the other, the GFCI will see both legs in balance and continue supplying current to my cooking heart! KMoffett is correct. A GFCI is not a panacea.

    If you're trying to make a lamp that's intrinsically safe then supply it with low voltage only and work with that to get the light output you want. Other than that I'm not sure what you're trying to accomplish.

    It's a buck-boost converter to convert 5V to 3.7V to charge the battery and to supply 5V from a 3.6V battery source. There's no microphone, transmitter, antenna or memory as would be needed for a "bug".

    I've seen those before so they're probably either AMP or Molex. Look for a very small molded series number on the edge of the housing on the wire entry side. By the way, the ones you show are not crimped correctly. The insulation strain relief crimp is crimped on the conductor.

    It's there to suppress the arc on the motor relay contacts. Without it the relay contacts will fail prematurely. The value seems low to me. Can you post a picture of the component?
