    now having trouble with the 3rd filter, tut right when I thought I had it! checked and re-checked resistor values and I'm using correct value caps so not sure whats going on atm

    not actually sure to be fair the mode is set to 1 the gain 8 the learn 0 speed 2 and the sleep 2 and channel to 0 and its working nice! thanks

    So, alor, I fixed circuit 1 (I missed two solder-joints and found them when I was duplicating it on the third filter circuit) and now have two columns reacting to sound! making column 3 now.! Work has been extra slow recently due to time constraints but still progressing :) and getting there...

    I'll try it speakers on laptop are rubbish though might take a krk speaker with me for the sweep test!

    so I swapped out the resistors on filter two and still cant get the 45Hz column to react to sound so I'm progressing on to the 3rd column

    so dug out the new value resistors and probably have them fitted tomorrow for the first filter and see if it has better results! thanks

    the numbers I am working with are (filter stage 1: 150k, 4.7k, 270k)(filter stage 2: 130k, 2k, 510k)(filter stage 3: 160k, 2.4k, 620k) not sure where I aquired those numbers but will try using the values in the pic below!! and see the out come! thanks well I do know where I aqired the values it...

    so you never guess what! I hooked up another set of LM3914's and the signal wire from filter two makes both of the columns light so I've determined that the circuit I ripped out was probably good and it was a bad filter so I'm going to look over it but I just think that 45Hz is too low a frequency!!

    so I had a session today on the second set of LM3914's nearly completed the top side, they're looking good!! then have to put power lines to it and then solder in all 20 LED's only had 45mins
