    I can’t find a FW27. But if it’s similar to the FW25, then yes it will work fine without the remote. There is also a system reset button on the back. Can you share some photos of the front and back of yours?. Martin

    I would take a guess with the controller requiring more of a load. But that’s just a guess. OTOH, perhaps the motor needs a load too?.

    I was thinking radio controlled helicopter. They have a drive gear to the rear tail rotors via a toothed belt. Or radio controlled car with the same drive gear but a chain. These could work out quite pricey. So perhaps adjusting your setup would be more practical?. Martin

    Hello, I replaced the encoder in the radio control panel of my Ford Fiesta. The old encoder did attenuation and amplification but not on/off. The newly installed encoder, on the contrary, turned on and off, but did not reduce or increase the sound in any way.

    I would think a couple of volts either way. But try and adjust the converter to the correct voltage. It may pay to test again under full load. ie: while recording to SDcard etc. It’s better to have too much than not enough!. Martin

    If removing the cover and then suddenly it works, I would suspect a loose or dry/cracked solder joint somewhere. The simple movement may have released a slight flex in the mounting position. Certainly NOT definitive but certainly worth a look if it plays up or stops working again. Martin

    The charger is for older chemistry ni-cad batteries. The third wire is more than likely to sense battery temperature. NO, do not short any wires or connections. How do you know that the charger is faulty and not the OLD battery?. Have you tried charging another battery?. Martin
