Trying to build a timer switch

Steven, If you want to buy one, Google: photogate There are commercial ones like: http://www.novatech-usa.com/Products/Mechanics-Educational/DTPHG1?gclid=CIC4q_HW8MoCFdcYgQod4nAOoQ I've used cheap stopwatches to time periods. Used LEDs or laser pointers and a photo transistors to detect the...

    Radio for the space.

Radio waves travel at approximately the speed of light. There is nothing at this time that will accelerate radio waves faster than that. Your signal will reach across the Universe at the exactly same rate as all the other RF noise we are already sending out. "But I found decision, my friend -...

    Time Base and Crystal

Is this an academic question of accuracy of 1 sec clock output from low vs high frequency crystals? I can't help with that. But if you need a fairly accurate 1-second clock source, gut a 1.5V battery operated wall or desk clock. I don't remember the last time I had to adjust one of these clocks...

4 players quiz game using relays

Am I missing something? If any player pushes a button, it not only opens the +12V to the other players, but also to their relay. So if the player pushing the button holds it down their relay will just continuously buzz open and closed. ???? (Think Model T Ford ignition spark coil.) Maybe DPDT...
