    Where to begin

More to the point - will the repairs be cost effective? If the modern stuff is broken it is likely impossible to source spares and the crazy implication of IPR (intellectual property rights) often means zero information i.e. schematics to make the repair easy enough and/or possible. Then there...

    American 220 wall heater problem...

As ever, you're over-thinking things. There's probably nothing wrong with the motor. Leave it alone (for now). Remove the thermostat. Point a hot air gun at it and see (listen) for the bi-metallic strip 'clicking'. If it clicks the metallic strip (mechanical action) is fine. Clean the...

    433MHz Transmitter Range Problem

The braid (screen) should be connected to ground.

lg tv backlight is working weird

Dud LED is my guess. Replacing one means fitting a new 'strip' - and they are commonly left-hand/right-hand keyed so make sure you get the right one. That said, taking a set apart to fit one is no mean feat - scary at times too as you have to handle the full sized LCD panel (bare) in many...

    IR transparent pigment

What is the actual IR device you're using? Most (that I've got or come across) are already embedded in IR-transparent resin.

Why is the coaxial cable screen (braid) unconnected?

    Solenoid Help

If you can stand the loss of 'pull' then adding a resistor is fine and will reduce the current accordingly.

You mean they aren't working? In what way? Not pulling hard enough? Pulling too hard?

I need help, I want to monitoring a multi function meter over RS485

Sure they are correct? Baud rate in particular?

Mitsubishi DA-L70 - NO Sound - Help needed please.

I'd say the main output (speaker) driver chip(s) have gone dud - STK4151. What's the voltage at the base of Q952?

I need help, I want to monitoring a multi function meter over RS485

Do the changes affect only one register or more than one? How do the numbers correspond? i.e. if you double the value measured does the register value also double?

    4-20mA circuit issue

So what? The fact that: Which means it's working as it should. What relevance has the inner workings of the 4-20mA circuit to do with what you want to read? If you are getting 4mA when the (external) sensor reads 0 and 20mA when the sensor is reading (whatever) maximum then the system is...

I need help, I want to monitoring a multi function meter over RS485

Have you tried changing a measured value and seeing if there is a corresponding change in the value(s) of any register(s)?

I need help, I want to monitoring a multi function meter over RS485

You've only set the software to read the first 20 registers. Seems like there are an awful lot more than that 'in there'. Can you read them all i.e. increase the 20 to '999'......?

    Radio schaub lorenz touring t40

Coil inductance depends on many parameters not least of which are wire size, number of turns, length, height and the coil former material. The 455kHz coil will probably have a different core material so won't work if wound turn-for-turn as the 10.7MHz coil is. You could replace the 10.7MHz...

Custom RGB+W COB LED fixture driver

Infinitely variable colour might seem attractive but only using the basic RGB and switching them on/off can often give the colour you need. Sure you want 'full' control? If so then, yes, get individual dimmers (simple PWM). Heatsinking WILL be required. I have an aquarium light and it MUST...

    4-20mA circuit issue

The principle of the 4-20mA is that when your sensor outputs 0 the circuit 'sends' 4mA....... if it's dropping below 4mA then there's something fundamentally wrong.
