    NO. Don’t jump it!!. That will short the AC supply!. The X2 cap is DIRECTLY across the supply. I think you need to be really careful playing in there. Martin

    That X2 cap is most probably directly across the live and neutral where the AC enters the power supply. I would remove it and try the TV again. But I doubt that it’s the main problem. They normally fail short to trigger the fuse. But take it out of circuit and try the TV. Martin

    Page 3 is acknowledgements. All the other pages up to 70 are how it was designed and tested. What part are you stuck on?. Somebody on this forum will be able to help with specific questions but nobody is going to read 70 pages and then explain it to you!. Martin

    Only one way to find out if the switches are working backwards. Drill a hole in each fridge door to see if light comes on or goes off when doors are closed!.

    If you’re away, why not simply switch it off and close the output tap?. I would also think that emptying it and leaving the bottom valve open for drainage would be a good time for preventative maintenance. Martin

    Search for ‘right angle female header’. You won’t need to bend pins then. Just check the specs until you find your desired pitch. Martin

    If you have a multimeter, you can check voltages at the ribbon cable. If no voltages present, trace backwards. This is where a bright flashlight is useful for shining it from the underside of PCB. But a schematic might be your only hope really. Martin

    There are hundreds of different types. Yours maybe in-house design for any number of reasons. But, try searching for ‘FRC - Molex - JST - IDC connectors. All of those do have 1.27mm pitch. The worst scenario is buying a pair and a bit of soldering, by replacing the original. Might be easier...

    The ribbon cable is more than capable of supplying power to the small motors. You need to see if the motors are getting a supply voltage. A schematic of the circuit would be extremely useful here. See if you can find one on the internet. Martin
