    Inverter problems please help

Cool glad you got it working. Thanks Adam

Have you got any pictures of the prototype?

Hi Paul. You normally design it in a PCB schematic and layout program like DipTrace which is free. But there are lots of free packages out there. Do you have a circuit diagram I can see? Adam

    More than just old caps

God what a messy circuit diagram. It looks like the main audio output is sampled by the NOR gate IC. When the audio from the main IC is high enough; C909 charges up through D909 this puts a logic high on pins 5 and 6 of IC901 which in turn triggers pins 1 and 2 low which makes pin 3 high and...

No problem, Adam's just fine not Mr Adam :)

    Arduino relay driver circuit

The diode protects the transistor from the potentially high fly-back voltage produced by the relay coil when the relay switches off. Thanks Adam

Hi Paul What software package did you design the circuit in. I would have thought the software you used can create them, you don't have to pay for them. Thanks Adam

    Inverter problems please help

That's ok. If you look at the output and trace it back, you will hit a transformer, that's the thing that gives you your output. You fed mains into the output so the mains is going to get through to the other side because it's a transformer, although it will be a lower voltage because it will be...

    Inverter problems please help

It difficult to tell where you are measuring without a circuit diagram. I have had a quick look at some circuits online and basically the MOSFETS drive a transformer. Here is an example. Not sure why you are seeing 222 V d.c http://www.lz2gl.com/power-inverter-3kw/ I couldn't find one for go...

    Inverter problems please help

The differences between the two shouldn't make any difference but it's always best to replace like for like. The non B version looks like it might be obsolete, the one from ST is. Adam

    Lm386 Audio amplifier

Maybe your expecting too much from this little amplifier, thing is how loud is not loud enough :) Adam

    Inverter problems please help

Yeah ok. Just re-read your thread and you say you have 330 Volts DC, it concerns me that this voltage is appearing on the DC rail. I would have expected 24 Volts. Or is this not on the power rail for the MOSFETS and somewhere else. Thanks Adam

    Inverter problems please help

Ok thanks. So basically you put mains on to the output of the inverter whilst it was still connected to the appliances? Thanks Adam

    Inverter problems please help

Um can't see anything that stands out as damaged, we could really do with a circuit diagram. I'll see if I can find one. Cheers Adam

How to get a constant 5V output regardless of input voltage?

Hello. A buck boost regulator is what you need. You will find many on the net. Let us know if you need any help. Thanks Adam

    Electronic Principles Home Work

I did think that about the units but I guess they want them to spot that and try and work it out. Your wooden beads are working correctly Trevor. :) Adam
