Modified sinewave to pretty good sinewave?

You can purchase a pure sinewave gasoline genset for a lot less trouble and cost of designing/modifying a modified sinewave device. Since your inverter requires a battery input (supply) and gasoline is orders of magnitude better at energy storage than batteries, why bother? That said, I use a...

Powering projects from marine power circuit.

A lot of marine electronics is powered by dedicated (not built-in) power regulators that accept a 10-30V DC input and output a steady 12V. If you know of or can spec a manufacturer/model regulator to work with the device you're designing you could save yourself a lot of time/trouble.

Halogen projector bulb for American DJ effect burns out to soon

Is there a manufacturers spec on the bulb? They usually state a minimum lifespan but with most such devices it's heat that does the damage so ensuring the fan (assuming it has a cooling fan?) is working and no filter is blocked etc you could add a bigger fan??? Physical stress is also a...

    Wifi woes

Lots - just Google those words and see what I mean. I have a wi-fi booster but you can also re-use an old wi-fi router to achieve the same result as many Youtube videos will show. Note, you are boosting the wi-fi sender, NOT improving the wi-fi reception sensitivity. But before you go that...

How to browse files of a single board computer via USB or RS232 port?

The manual for the SBC should explain how files are uploaded/downloaded.

How to browse files of a single board computer via USB or RS232 port?

The content that says 'this program cannot be run in DOS mode' is always present in compiled Windows files.

How to browse files of a single board computer via USB or RS232 port?

So this is a 'Windows Embedded' SBC then? i.e. it's OS allows for Windows software to be run directly on it? If that's the case then it still makes no difference - the OS is taking Windows-generate code to run directly. The only files/folders will be the ones you upload to the device in the...

    5V, 3A over-voltage circuit needed

If you are using a quality 5V supply source (which, given your application, you should be) then your apprehension is over-stated. Personally I'd purchase a quality 5V supply (one that does the supply rail monitoring itself) and leave it to do what it does best - i.e. work. You can end up...

    Sharp RT-3388a solenoid/plunger not working

Check the collector of Q820. This transistor delays the functioning of the solenoid until the switch-on power levels have stabilised. It should be 'low'. The solenoid is then otherwise controlled by one of two inputs on the base of Q803 - signals from the control unit or via SW10. These...

How to browse files of a single board computer via USB or RS232 port?

The device probably doesn't run an operating system but instead uses code directly - in other words it may not even have 'files and directories' but the user compiles code on a separate device and uploads the finished product to RAM/EEPROM. What does the user manual say about accessing it?

help ID IC used for dusk/dawn controller

Manufacturing - yes. On a DIY basis the KISS principle applies and the analogue route often prevails.

    Tricking Solar inverter

I 'know' where the OP is coming from and appreciate that the rules will be followed as per the OP's country requirements. As a forum we are 'obliged' to ensure that advice given doesn't encourage anyone to break the rules or give rise to potential harm to the OP or others that may be...

    Tricking Solar inverter

I thought you weren't connecting to the grid? You shouldn't have any connection to the grid AT ALL unless it is properly certified and professionally installed. It's not appropriate to simply 'program' the unit to not feed back to the grid - that is simply not safe enough. Failing the pro...

Hep please - what resistor size.

Might also be because you have the device connected wrongly - double check the pinout and your orientation.

    Tricking Solar inverter

?? Your solar panels will have some circuitry to allow it to charge the batteries in the first place. This is usually 'permanently' connected and the batteries will always be charging except when the solar array is disconnected. The inverter will operate as long as it detects there is...

help ID IC used for dusk/dawn controller

AFAIK the 555 won't work at 3V anyway. The device is, as suggested, a microcontroller so any modification is going to be 'impossible' - certainly not worthwhile. Far easier to build your own dusk/dawn detector from scratch.

    TDA2030 IDENTIFYING AUDIO INPUT

The OP's own schematic shows the input. The terminals identified for the volume control are listed - left-to-right - as; Ground Middle pin Audio in. The audio 'in' is the mono (or pseudo-stereo via combining resistors) input signal.

    TDA2030 IDENTIFYING AUDIO INPUT

Usual practice is to apply each channel via resistors/capacitors and 'sum' the left-right signal to create a mono source.
