High frequency circuit board for TIG AC/DC welder, how does it work?

If it's arcing it's working. What's potentially wrong is the current monitoring side of the system. I'd suspect a diode in the current detection side (AC) that's suppose to rectify the monitoring current.

Trying to Trick my A/C Unit

I repeat - it's a lack of circulation. If the circulation was 'correct' then the overall average room temperature would be higher and the AC would run longer to bring it down to what you require. What's difficult to understand about that? Put a fan in the far corner of the room - if you want...

Trying to Trick my A/C Unit

You misplace the 'dumbass' part of your post. The issue is with circulation - not the AC. If one part of the room isn't at the set temperature (but the rest is) then the cooled air isn't circulating to that 'warm' area - dumbass.

The reed switch has likely gone short-circuit. Replace it.

    Diagnosing bad motor

The fact that the motor was seized would very likely cause the supply fuse to blow so that would be the first thing to check. If someone put in a higher rated fuse (unsurprisingly this is a common practise even though it's completely wrong) it may also have caused the operating switch to burn...

    shared battery charger with diodes

That's called 'split diode charging' and is a 'standard technique'. Just ensure the diodes are suitably rated for the charging current and that the charger can compensate for the 0.5-0.8V voltage drop the diode introduces i.e. adjust the charger output slightly higher if possible.

Can't find a PCB designer to hire for cool position. Is PCB design completely ignored in schools?

I suppose every industry that requires certain specialised skillsets 'preloaded' in ex-students will want the curriculum to be designed around THEIR needs too. If you value the skills so highly maybe your best course would be to offer apprenticeships (appropriately remunerated) to interested...

Vintage Sharp RT3388 tape deck runs with switch off and VU meters not working

If this function worked prior to your previous repairs then check your work around Q808 as this is very close to the switching arrangement that controls the power to the motor. You might have shorted a track or even put the transistor in the wrong way around.

    Vintage Midland Walkie Talkie REpair

Helpful to know where you're located and what you're prepared to spend on restoring its operation. There are probably quite a few on this forum that can do such a task (I can) and your local amateur radio fraternity would probably throw up someone who would do it for the kicks rather than a...

    EMP attack!

Not at all - I love music. Just not at all interested in the 'finery' of sub decimal point distortion figures or the 'colour' of sound. These are subjective issues that talking about will achieve zero differences to the individuals impression. I leave such topics to those who have nothing...

Could be 'me' and the settings I chose but I don't see post ranking or numbers of likes under the members icons any more. Is this a new thing, fault or a setting I've missed?

Tesla can go from zero to whatever in zero seconds as far as I'm concerned. When it can go 450 miles on a single charge and recharge in under 5 minutes get back to me.

    Circuit selector

In the simplest possible sense use a 4017 decade counter driving 10 banks of relays who's contacts switch-over the relevant signal lines of the 10 circuits you want to control. Pulse the 4017 using a de-bounced push-button and (potentially) a 555 monostable. Of course the 'relays' can be some...

    DC motor speed controller

Blue wire is supply +ve (common to board and motor so use heavy duty wire). White wire goes to motor +ve (heavy duty wire needed) Black wire goes to motor -ve and supply -ve (heavy duty wires again) The speed controller (potentiometer) though.......... anyone?
