    The main reason I needed to post this is as follows... The blower cycles with the firebox elements, so when the elements turn on, the fan is blowing to cool them down/heat the house. The motor connects to one of the thermostats. I would think the low temp thermostat would probably turn it...

    The motor should not heat up at all if you are using the correct power, and its properly terminated... Heat is a big problem with motors. Fans are usually added as the recourse of not being able to get the right motor for the application... Study your motors, and you will find the right motor...

    I think the 8 ohm thing got you. If I remember my electronic study, most electronic circuits use 126 ohms, thats because after you add a few components to the signal you experience signal loss, and putting source in there just makes noise. Upping the ante can give you a little bit of amperage...

    All the strobes they made in the 70's were 12v driven, the bulbs cost too much and the circuits overheated and started fires. Use a voltage divider circuit and add some fans to keep the case cooler.....

    ...when wrapping the coil, I get this image of a hammer mill with a guy cussing about the line that broke as he was spinning it on the bobbin.... I know there is electronics formulas in there somewhere...!!
