    Following your lead I'm looking at this CV mixer with two op amp stages. Am I right in thinking that "offset function" means inverted and non-inverted outputs? If so (just jumping ahead here) it would be really good if both could be selected on a single pot.... if half rotation meant zero mix...

I'm generally learning bits of theory off here with your guys help, I have art of electronics and a few others I use as main reference, but then I can't as of yet work out how far I can push a circuit before I get the smoke. So was figuring rather than breadboarding all the time...

    Thanks for explaining that, I wasn't sure what "1/50th" meant but understand now. Can I put D1 and D2 on the output of the signal conditioner instead? rather than having to go into the pcb's

    So i folllow the voltage path see what active components it hits alo the way and make sure it stays within their tolerence lvls? that would be both transistors u1c/d lm13700n pins 1,5 and 7. My signal is coming in at potentially 11 times gain, then added to u1d's x50 gain seems rather too much,
