    Signal mixer, voltage mixer.

The sig gen i use is a tiny digital one. It gives me low frequencies to high I mainly keep it in sine wave mode. The voltage is 3.4v measured in dc mode with my DM.

    Twilight zone predictions

seriously one of my favourite parts of this forum. We've been a bit starved of wacky ideas of late. I thought we could have a guess on what the next topic will be that gets put in the twilight zone? I'm going for "peer to peer internet powered by global consciousness".

    Line splitter.

Hi. So i've found myself a bit poor for a few weeks and want to try and make a bunch of utility modules for my synth as I think I have a lot of the parts in my workshop. I drew this up after reading Ray Wilsons op amp articles. Is it correct? Is there a better way of achieving what I want...

    Signal mixer, voltage mixer.

Ok Attenuating wil be easily done. I have an analogue farnel sig genrator in storage, it was one of the first bits of kit I bought but didn't understand it what so ever. I'll dig that out on Monday and get it set up. It looks similar to this.

    Signal mixer, voltage mixer.

My signal generator has a steady 3.4 volts regardless of frequency (I'm not sure if that's what's meant to be the case, but it was a cheap digital kit). How would I calculate how to reduce the DC to a level i needed, as I often worry that inserting it into line ins to check the modules will be...

Yes, Ikea stresses me out. I have a collection of their chair leg brackets (the round ones with the thread) i find uses for these often, really good for quick fix motor collars if you need to attach something big. I spend time making strange experimental music, those metal legs have good ringing...

    Signal mixer, voltage mixer.

Ahh yes ok. So does this mean the capacitors use in this fashion with audio signals is to keep DC noise out of the circuit/signal path?

I daren't show you how my workshop looks, it's basically a scrapyard condensed into 6m squared. Thank you. I use scrap a lot. I don't see the point buying stuff when i just need to make a bit of effort to go through skips, ask builders what they might be throwing out over their build. I left...

    Signal mixer, voltage mixer.

In my MFOS make; anaolgue synth book it says that to turn a signal mixer into a control voltage mixer I just need to bypass the caps on the each channels line inputs. Is this correct? Seems far to easy. If it is the case, what is about the capacitors thatwon't allow the Control voltages to be...

I attached all the pcb's to brackets so I could access them and fold them back in again. Not sure how big this thing might get so thought this might be a good move. Plus it really helped wih the wiring.

Thanks. That's hugely helpful. Hadn't come accross the OPA series.

That's good to know thank you. As it happens I have been buying the tl07 series instead as it's cheaper.... I read in various places the LM324 was preverable for audio purposes. Do you have a preference between this and the TL074? When i'm looking at datasheets which bit tells me how noisey they...
